The Honorable Thomas Thrash

Judge Thrash is the Criminal Division District Court Judge at Place 11 in the Bessemer Division of Jefferson County.

Elected in November 2018, Judge Thrash comes from an extensive career in Public Safety Service. Former United States Army Reservist; A retired Sergeant (23 years) with the Birmingham Police Department; former Deputy Sheriff with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department and former Firefighter with the Hueytown Fire and Rescue Department.

Judge Thrash's Educational Background includes early training at St. Francis Catholic School and graduation from Jess Lanier High School in Bessemer, Alabama.

Associate Degree Lawson State Community College; Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science University of Alabama at UAB; Juris Doctorate Miles Law School.
